What is comprehensive insurance?
If you're staying in the Czech Republic for more than 90 days — to study, work, or for another long-term purpose — you are legally required to hold comprehensive health insurance for the full length of your stay. Unlike basic travel insurance, a comprehensive policy also covers preventive care, planned treatment, chronic conditions, and pregnancy and childbirth, not just emergencies.
